A global logistics group with a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors are recruiting a UK Tax Compliance Lead. This is an extremely high profile role, playing an integral role is leading the UK tax compliance. You will be leading a team of two, liaising with senior finance personnel and being the go-to contact for HMRC dealings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the company's compliance with UK tax regulations including corporation tax, VAT, PAYE and other relevant taxes
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns and statutory filings on a timely basis
- Advise on tax implications of business decisions and transactions, providing strategic tax planning and risk management
- Managing tax audits and inquiries with HMRC, ensuring accurate and timely response
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax compliance
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified with Big 4/Top Tier training
- Ideally one move in-house with in-depth knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in tax accounting under IFRS and/or US GAAP
