Robert Half Finance are recruiting a new role of financial systems accountant for a rapidly growing international retail business based in the Northwest. This unique and varied role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in an ever-growing business whilst working with some of the best financial and accounting professionals in the Northwest.
The Role
Reporting into the Group functions, the financial systems accountant will play a crucial role in the implementation of new finance that will enhance the efficiency in the delivery of consolidation financial data and the maintenance of data integrity.
Further duties and responsibilities of the financial systems accountant will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership and administration of Oracle EPM which is being implemented by the Group for consolidation and planning purposes.
- Develop and maintain effective BI for financial reporting, planning and analysis.
- Oversee the ongoing implementation and management of Oracle EPM and Blackline which the Group are utilising for consolidation and account reconciliations respectively.
- Stay updated on the Groups accounting policies and associated accounting framework, ensuring compliance across consolidation processes and reconciliations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve consolidation and planning processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices.
- Develop and ensure compliance with internal controls within the consolidation and reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, treasury, and IT to ensure accurate and timely financial data consolidation.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience in group accounting function
- Technically strong and knowledge of Finance systems
- Experience in preparing financial consolidation and reconciliation processes
- Experience with system implementation
Salary & Benefits
In return, the successful financial systems accountant will receive the following:
Indicative renumeration:
- Base starting salary: £57,000 to £67,000 (DOE)
