Accounts Assistant
- Annual Salary: Up to £33,000
- Job Type: Full-time - Permanent (Some Hybrid)
We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at managing and monitoring our financial operations efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and support colleagues across the business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreed upon.
- Distribute supplier invoices for authorisation to relevant managers and ensure timely entry onto the purchase ledger.
- Process payments for authorised supplier invoices within credit terms and enter business payments onto Sage.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of the business bank account.
- Process weekly expense claims payments and reconcile petty cash tin.
- Support the preparation of management accounts and assist with month-end duties.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.
- Support the wider accounts team by taking phone calls and completing simple Open Gi tasks.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as directed and support colleagues from all areas of the business as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar accounts or finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Sage and other accounting software.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
