SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant SEN school in Bexley. This role is crucial in providing 1:1 support to named children, working closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to ensure the best educational outcomes for students with special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored 1:1 assistance to meet the individual needs of identified students.
- Implement strategies to support positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
- Assist with lesson delivery, ensuring students can access the curriculum effectively.
- Provide support with personal care tasks as required, maintaining dignity and respect for the student.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
- Familiarity with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other SEN conditions.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not mandatory.
