Job Title: SEN KS2 Teacher
Location: Audley, Stoke On Trent
Salary: £26,209 - £41,773
Hours: 40 per week
We are currently seeking a KS2 Teacher to join a small independent school supporting students aged 7-14 with SEMH needs who require a smaller, more specialised intervention that can not be provided in a mainstream school.
Working with students who are all at KS2, the school are committed to ensuring that all students learn and are engaged in the appropriate programme of study which allows them to successfully re engage with education and to achieve their very best outcomes.
Overview of the role:
- Plan teaching to achieve progression in pupils' learning
- Help to engage students with both reading and writing
- Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
- Establish and maintain a safe environment and purposeful working atmosphere which supports learning and in which pupils feel secure and confident
- Contribute to the development of the primary curriculum
- Provide a nurturing environment for the students
Experience/Qualifications:
- QTS/QTLS or equivalent
- Passionate champions of students with SEND
- At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment
- Can demonstrate excellent primary curriculum knowledge
- Have a string knowledge of phonics
