Job Type: Temporary, Part-time (16 hours per week)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to support a reputable college in Birmingham. This is a temporary ongoing position, ideal for someone looking to work part-time during the new academic year. Day-to-day of the role:

Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages.

Ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy, in accordance with food safety regulations.

Help with the set-up and clear-down of the dining area.

Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with customers.

Provide excellent customer service, responding to students' and staff's needs.

Maintain stock levels and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.

Comply with health and safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a catering or food service role is advantageous.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided).

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
