Who We Are Looking For:

  • Job Title: Senior Buyer
  • Duration: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract
  • Location: Aberdeen, UK
  • Work Schedule: Full Time 37.5hrs

The Senior Buyer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the KCAD Supply Chain Management policies and procedures relating to the purchase of goods and services for their area of responsibility within the Offshore Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager of the Offshore Business Unit, other Offshore Purchasers and Regional Purchasers to implement Supply Chain Strategies in accordance with Business Unit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications & relationships, positioning KCA Deutag to always obtain the maximum value from suppliers whilst adhering to KCA Deutag quality, safety and ethics standards and full ABC policy compliance.
  • Generate value for the business by achieving improved sourcing and driving innovation and leading-edge solutions whilst ensuring contractual provisions are flexible to meet growing and changing requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of SCM best practice and supply management techniques and act as a functional expert in these matters.
  • Support Offshore Business Unit leadership and other colleagues in the acquisition of goods and services and the supporting strategies and plans that make the acquisition efficient and effective for our business.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement standard processes for procurement planning, QA requirements, tender management, PTN and RFA's and standard process for invoice payment.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Competence in SCM methodologies.
  • Ability to interface with other functions at various levels to achieve objectives.
  • Well organised, proactive and a good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Analytical approach to tasks.
  • SAP proficiency including report presentation.
  • ABC awareness and ethical focus.

Qualifications:

  • SCQF Level 9 (Degree or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, Law.
