A specialist, UK based Transport and Civil Engineering Consultancy is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join an established team of hydrology specialists based in Shrewsbury.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Environmental Management, Hydrology and Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrological Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
It is also beneficial for applicants to reside within commutable distance of the Office to mentor team members and integrate with the team.
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to support the existing team and complete Flood Risk, Surface Water and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities.
Applicants will also be required to complete the following;
- Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.
- Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.
- Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage for residential and commercial projects for Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities.
- Drainage Area Planning.
- Review Hydrological Assessments and Hydraulic Modelling.
- Manage projects and promote the services of the company with new and existing clients.
