DC Personnel are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join an established company based in Desford, Leicester LE9. A great opportunity to join a company who are experiencing a sustained period of growth.

Hours:
7:30 - 16:30 Monday- Thursday and 7:30 - 12:30 Friday
39 hours paid weekly
Pay:
£12.50/hr
As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high quality parts and components.
As a Machine Operator you will:
- Have a background in engineering (ideal)
- Operating 3 Axis Manual Milling machines and 4 Axis CNC
- To program, set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components
- Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided).
- Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate.
- Physical lifting required due to the nature of the product.
- Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others.
- Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Previous machinist experience
- Engineering Level 2 and understanding of CAD is preferable.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, use appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and gauges for each job
- Workshop and production health & safety practices.
