Teaching Assistant

Posted by Horizon Teachers.

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking to gain more experience working within different school settings?

Horizon Teachers are working with a number of Primary Schools in Kingston, requiring Teaching Assistants to work with them on a daily basis to help cover any staff sickness. This can be a great way for you to work flexible days around other commitments you may have, or to gain a longer-term position and expand your experience working within Primary Schools.

As you will be working within different school settings, you must be flexible supporting children from Nursery - Key Stage 2 and be adaptable to closely work with children that have Special Educational Needs.

As these positions are available on a daily basis, work is available to start ASAP. It would be very beneficial if you have previous experience working within a school or child care setting.

As a Teaching Assistant -

  • Previous experience working within a school or childcare setting is very desirable.
  • Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
  • Be available to work within schools from 8:30am - 4pm.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children.
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation.
