Contract Type: Temporary

Daily Rate: £600 - £650

Working Pattern: Full Time

Our client, a leading investment banking organisation in London, is seeking a highly skilled Secondary Loan Closer to join their EMEA Loan Documentation Team. This team plays a crucial role in supporting their Global Markets Business.

Responsibilities:

As a Secondary Loan Closer, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of cross desk trades across various product lines. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation, negotiation, and agreement of loan trade documentation, ensuring compliance with transfer, tax, and legal eligibility criteria.
- Reviewing documentation extensively to ensure adherence to LMA & LSTA trading terms and conditions.
- Coordinating trade settlement with external counterparties, managing par and distressed asset inventory.
- Engaging with clients (both internal and external), managing trade settlement expectations.
- Timely completion of transactions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborating with other teams, such as Loan Servicing, Loan Settlements, Loan Corporate Actions, Legal, - - Compliance, Tax, and Agent Banks.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

A good understanding of the secondary loan trading market and familiarity with Loan Market Association guidelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Client-facing experience and the ability to confidently engage in discussions with clients.
Risk-focused mindset with the ability to identify and escalate potential issues.
Strong team player who can effectively contribute to team goals.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
Self-motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
Other Qualifications:

In addition to the above, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

Experience with ClearPar.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Legal background or experience in handling legal documents.
Proficiency in a second language.
