Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a large, very well established, utilities business in Leeds. This role is for a 14 month FTC to cover a maternity leave with the flexibility of hand over at both ends. The position will cover all Credit Control / Sales Ledger and you will directly report into the Finance Manager. You would be working within a fast paced office but the finance team are very supportive of each other and full company training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

  • Full responsibility of running the Credit Control Function
  • Managing customer Credit limits
  • Carrying out credit checks on new customers
  • Collecting of overdue accounts via phone and letter
  • Cash allocation
  • Full sales ledger responsibilities including weekly banking
  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • Account litigation where necessary
  • Data reconciliation and preparing reports for customers
  • Petty Cash handling
  • Month end close down
  • Monthly reporting of customer spends
  • Addition ad hoc duties as and when required

To be successful considered for this role, you will bring the following experience / skills:

  • Experience of working within a credit control position is essential
  • Qualifications to GCSE or NVQ2 level with passes in Maths and English at grade 3
  • MS Office packages with VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables is desirable but training can be provided
