FF&E Designer

An award-winning multiple-office design firm that works with prestigious brands from the worlds of retail and hospitality is currently looking to expand its team within its Dubai office.

They are looking for an FF&E Designer to join their team with a minimum of 2 years of experience to work on projects that include four-star plus hospitality interiors and high-end residential located around the world.

Key responsibilities for this FF&E Designer position include:

  • Sourcing, production, and documentation of the FF&E and interior finishes aspects of interior design projects - furniture plans, furnishing drawings, specifications, control samples, details, etc.
  • Working with and under the direction of project team leaders.
  • Communicate project status to senior FF&E designer on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members
  • Keeping up to date on new trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and vendors and ensure FF+E is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

FF&E Designer requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an FF&E Designer / Interior Designer
  • Experience in working on high-end luxury residential, hospitality and/or corporate offices
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of suppliers, designers, artisans, artists, and vendors for both local and international taste, and classical and contemporary style FF&E. As well as, an in-depth knowledge of materials, such as fabric, wall covering, paints, floor covering, sanitary ware, and ironmongery as well as accessories, furniture, art, white goods, and other essential equipment
  • Qualification B.Sc. in Architecture / Interior Design or equivalent Diploma from a reputed institute.
  • Strong English skills; both written and verbal
  • The ability to speak another language other than English would be advantageous but not essential (Arabic is preferred)
  • Be creative and well organized, able to cope with high volumes of work efficiently with focus and accuracy.
  • Presentation skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator and other design programs.
