Social Media Account Director

Central Employment are working in partnership with an expanding Manchester based integrated Communications agency, as they look to appoint a Social Media Account Director.

Working collaboratively, you will build and lead paid & organic social media strategies and campaigns that will harness the technology and the creative power of social media to efficiently and effectively build our clients' brands, promote their services and offerings, and drive sales.

Key duties of the Social Media Account Director:

  • Devise and implement data-driven content strategies across social media channels, including day to day management of social calendars and content.
  • Allocate and assign resources in coordination with the creative team to deliver all social media work to brief, on budget and on time.
  • Own the planning, conceptualisation, creation, posting and community management across all client accounts, including Instagram (In-Feed, Stories, Reels), Tik Tok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest. Other platforms may be required from time to time.
  • Guide and lead your direct reports to provide the highest quality of social media content, prioritising your own and the team's workload.
  • Monitor clients' social channels daily to ensure accuracy against agreed scope and objectives, identifying any errors to be rectified.
  • Own the execution of campaign rollouts across multiple social channels and platforms.
  • Devise and deliver targeted paid social media campaigns that provide ROI on LinkedIn, Meta, Twitter, TikTok etc as needed.

Essential experience:

  • Circa 3 years of working at a senior level in an agency environment.
  • Knowledge of fully integrated digital solutions, including paid and organic search, web development and broader digital activity is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working across varied Social Media Platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok and Pinterest.
  • Confident and proficient user of Google Analytics and similar tools to track KPIs, analyse trends, and report on campaign effectiveness to clients.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with proven experience developing talent and nurturing a growing team.
