This is an amazing opportunity for someone with proven VAT experience and strong financial accounting skills to work within a global music company.
The roles and responsibilities will be:
- Tracking touring stock movements for ECSL/Intrastat reporting purposes.
- Ensuring all VAT related return submissions are processed accurately and timely
- Ensure VAT related payments are made on time.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations of VAT Control accounts and journal entries
- Liaising with external VAT service providers for the submission of the VAT related returns.
- Supporting Tax Authority/Internal/External audits & queries.
- Assist with VAT registrations in new EU territories.
- Assisting with Customs procedures
- Miscellaneous VAT tasks and ad hoc project work
- Seek improvements in processes and procedures to help manage the VAT function in a more efficient manner, with the aim of increasing VAT Compliance and Controls across the businesses.
- VAT Returns for the UK and European wide Touring & Retail businesses - preparation, analysis, submission & reconciliation.
- EC Sales and Acquisitions List & Intrastat reporting where necessary - preparation, analysis, submission & reconciliation
You will be:
- Good working knowledge of VAT reporting.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Bias for action with a keen, flexible can-do attitude and a desire to progress.
- Highly organised with the ability to own and prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Team player - liaise with the Touring department, AP & AR to ensure accurate information received.
- Proficient with Excel and Word.
- The ideal candidate will have good systems knowledge of Navision, SAP would be an advantage.
- The ideal candidate will be eager to develop and will gain great exposure to the ever-changing VAT environment of VAT Compliance, Controllership, Advisory & Technology.
- VAT training courses provided for the right permanent candidate that could lead onto various qualifications.
