Pertemps South Wales is currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a public sector client based in Wales. This role offers the flexibility of home working, a hybrid arrangement, or working from an office in Wales.

The successful candidate will lead, and support assigned directorates, collaborating closely with Leadership, Management, and Executive Directors.

As an HR Business Partner, they will specialise in change projects and engage in effective communication with Trade Unions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue effective working relationships and ensure the delivery of high-quality human resources services.
  • Offer high-level professional expertise and guidance on intricate HR matters, serving as the organisation's specialist in your specific field.
  • Use various communication channels to provide expert diagnostics, analyse data trends, offer advice, and provide direction and coaching to the leadership team and other managers. This will enhance leadership confidence and competence in proactive informal and formal people management, development, and performance management of their staff.
  • Assist the Head of HR and HR Manager in delivering advisory services to the Executive Team and Board members.
  • Lead and revamp operational aspects of the People Management strategy, plan, and transformation programs, ensuring seamless integration of all people directorate services, including governance and compliance. This continuous consultation and improvement aim to enhance customer/manager expertise and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource Manager to proactively plan and find positive solutions for corporate-wide people outcomes, as well as address more sensitive and complex open systems relationship issues.

Required skills and experience:

  • CIPD Qualified (Level 7: Advanced) or Chartered Member of the CIPD, or an equivalent level HR qualification.
  • Possess extensive knowledge and experience in people management legislation and best practices.
  • Worked in an advisory capacity, designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality development solutions for people management that drive culture and behavioural change.
  • Held senior people management roles in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated the ability to develop effective, influential, and impactful relationships at all levels within a complex organisation.
