Job Title: Graduate Engineer

Location: Brierley Hill

Starting Salary: £28,000 per annum, with performance-based bonuses and benefits

Your Role:

As a Graduate Engineer, you will dive into the world of structural design, learning to develop detailed calculations and designs for an array of building components—from expansive steel frames to precision-crafted window frames and innovative cladding systems. Under the mentorship of experienced engineers, you'll:

  • Engage directly in live project work, applying your theoretical knowledge in practical, impactful ways.
  • Contribute to the drafting process and collaborate with external designers, engineers, and architects to ensure all designs are practical, buildable, and cost-effective.
  • Explore more efficient work methods and participate in initiatives to enhance the company's market competitiveness while adhering to stringent regulations and maintaining high design integrity.

What You'll Bring:

  • A robust understanding of basic structural behaviour complemented by excellent academic credentials in Maths and Physics.
  • A Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum 2.1 classification.
  • Eagerness to engage in every facet of the company's operations, demonstrating rapid learning ability and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong independent work ethic and effective teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and preliminary experience with MS Office, 2D and 3D CAD, and FEM software packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating code-compliant designs and formal calculations for various materials and systems.
  • Work alongside designers to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of engineering plans.
  • Learn to review and interpret technical drawings and respond to technical queries.
  • Participate in design team meetings and use various design tools to enhance project efficiency.
