Support Worker

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential 24-hour care, including overnight stays, to a young disabled man starting his university journey. The role is integral to ensuring his well-being and enabling his academic pursuits.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Provide round-the-clock support during university days, which includes staying overnight at the halls of residence.
- Assist with personal care needs, including the use of a hoist, ensuring the individual's comfort and safety.
- Conduct double-up visits with other carers in the morning and evening, each lasting one hour, to support with mobility and personal care.
- Accompany the individual to and from university activities, offering support and assistance as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain open communication with other carers, healthcare professionals, and the individual to ensure consistent and effective care.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience in a support worker or similar role, with a focus on disability care.
- Proficiency in using hoists and other mobility aids.
- A respectful and sensitive approach to personal care.
- Right to work full time in the UK
- Flexibility to accommodate the individual's university schedule and care needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a care team.
