Description
- Identify new opportunities for products and services from new and existing accounts, supporting the Business Development Managers.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop integrated marketing plans aligned with business and customer strategies, including social media and other marketing efforts.
- Arrange face-to-face visits with current and potential customers, and attend trade shows and exhibitions as per the marketing plan.
- Acquire customers by providing products and services that meet their quality, price, and delivery needs, offering commercial solutions with technical support.
- Engage in contract negotiations with customers.
- Handle engineering enquiries and prepare quotations.
- Assist in generating work instructions and departmental procedures as needed.
- Process sales orders with the support of procurement.
- Prepare data for sales reports, forecasts, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Prepare costings and price analyses, ensuring processes for Service Agreements are maintained.
- Work closely with Sales & Product Engineers, Contracts, and Supply Chain to follow the enquiry qualification process, ensuring timely information passage for quotations. Process purchase orders into Contract Reviews and issue Sales Order Acknowledgements post-Contract Team acceptance.
- Use the Tracking and Supply Chain System for efficient customer management and processing of enquiries and orders.
Profile
A successful Senior Contract Engineer should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Material, Science.
- Experience in a technical or sales role within an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Strong technical and commercial acumen.
