Process Technician

We're looking for a talented Process Technician to work for our client, based at their Carluke, Scotland Factory.

As a Process Technician, you will be directly involved in all aspects of production, including hands-on work with incoming and outgoing material inspections, preparing the CVD reactor for operation, and eventually taking on the reactor operation itself. This is a unique process, and full training will be provided for this position, which will include interaction with all parts of the business. You will work both individually and as part of a team to meet agreed production targets, system maintenance requirements, and repairs.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our small team and, over time, with training, you will become active in the following areas:

  • Planning, preparation, and processing of production orders, including communication of schedules.
  • Operation of the CVD reactor and quality control processes.
  • Handling goods in and out, including the careful handling of fragile materials.
  • Completion of process documentation.
  • Implementing process improvements.

To excel in this role and within our team, it would be advantageous to have some or all of the following experiences and personal attributes:

  • Excellent hand skills, practical abilities, attention to detail, and a high standard of workmanship.
  • Experience in a maintenance role with a positive approach to problem-solving, including documenting and communicating your improvement ideas to the team.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • A strong ability to produce and analyze data sets, using that information to inform your decisions and actions.
  • Hardworking, conscientious, and dependable. Able to work independently and collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
  • Punctual and professional in your conduct. Able to listen, support, encourage learning, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Open, honest, willing to listen and learn, and ready to take responsibility to achieve company objectives.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays.

Basic salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, which is negotiable.

Overtime: You will also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role, determined by company objectives.
