Location: Site, London. 4-8 days per month onsite

A leading enterprise data management and analysis software provider specializing in the commodity and energy sector are offering the opportunity for a technical Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between high-level project requirements and the technical implementation, ensuring seamless integration of the application into their clients' systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) to understand high-level requirements and translate these into detailed technical specifications.
  • Engage directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on the client side to gather in-depth understanding of data structures, dependencies, and requirements.
  • Work closely with risk management teams across the front to back offices to trace data sources, understand pricing formulas, and clarify input origins.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries and Excel models to analyze data and support implementation efforts.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops to solicit, define, and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities and project goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Strong client-facing experience with a proven track record in requirements definition and solicitation.
  • Technical Skills: Solid experience with SQL queries and database management; Proficiency in Excel for data analysis; Familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of the energy and commodity markets, including data structures, forward curves, and pricing data.
  • Implementation Experience: Demonstrated experience in implementing software solutions and working through complex data integration projects.

This is a hybrid role 4-8 days a month into the office with the occasional visits onsite to the clients and will provide a salary of £40-60k depending on experience.They are able to move quickly with interviews and this process will involve three stages.
