Senior Systems Safety Engineer
Bristol (Hybrid 1 day per week in office)
£55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits Package.
Defence Industry (SC Clearance eligibility required)
You will need to be eligible for UK Security Clearance if you don't already have it, being a UK Passport holder is ideal.
Other nationalities can be considered if you have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and do not require sponsorship.
We have a fantastic new vacancy open with a Specialist Systems and Safety Engineering SME client that has grown consistently over the last few years and is ready to add another great person to the System Safety Team.
The next Senior System Safety Engineer to join will have UK Defence Industry experience and be comfortable working with customers directly to deliver Safety Engineering solutions. In this role you will be conducting safety analyses and supporting systems development activities across a mix of Defence and Space Projects.
This role offers a flexible work from home / hybrid setup with 1 day per week in the Bristol office with your new team mates. They are an SME consultancy that can work dynamically and are not slowed down by bureaucracy, you will be part of a professional team of peers with System Safety experience.

Skills Required:
- Experience in the production and maintenance of Safety Case Reports and Safety Management Plans.
- Sound appreciation of Systems Engineering principles.
- Hazard Log Management.
- Experience working on complex environments ( Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Rail)
- Any experience of Missile systems would be highly beneficial.
- Experience following the ASEMS process.
- Hazard Identification and Hazard Analysis.
- Fault Tree Analysis (Isograph Reliability Workbench).
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
Desirable skills:
- Requirements elicitation / management.
- FMEA.
- MBSE Systems Engineering.
