Accounts Assistant

We are currently offering a temp to perm opportunity for a part-time Accounts Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and looking to gain experience in the financial sector. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our accounts office, supporting the Finance Manager and contributing to the smooth running of our financial processes.
Day to Day of the role:
- Allocating daily cash transactions accurately.
- Raising, emailing, and filing sales invoices in a timely manner.
- Processing rebates and issuing sales credit notes as required.
- Entering, coding, and matching Sterling & Euro invoices/credits onto the system
- Conducting general filing to keep financial records organised.
- Assisting the Finance Manager with various tasks to support the finance department.
- Managing supplier payments efficiently.
- Engaging in credit control activities to ensure timely payment of invoices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems, experience with Xero is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant role or similar is preferred but not essential.
