Position: Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality complex care to clients in their homes or within a healthcare facility.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medications and monitor vital signs under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.

Essential Competencies:

  • Experience in Complex Care: Demonstrated experience in providing complex care to individuals with various medical conditions.
  • Compassion and Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to connect with clients on a personal level.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing situations and respond to the varying needs of clients.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to monitor clients' conditions and accurately document care provided.
  • Teamwork: A cooperative and collaborative approach to working with others in a healthcare setting.
  • Professionalism: A commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all aspects of care.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
