As a Qualified Social Worker in Kinship Care, you'll be at the heart of ensuring that children are placed in loving and supportive kinship environments. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and their families to evaluate the suitability of kinship placements.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans that meet the specific needs of children and kinship carers, ensuring long-term stability.
  • Maintain regular contact with families and external agencies, facilitating a collaborative approach to care.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to kinship carers, offering guidance on available services and resources.
  • Carry out regular reviews and home visits to monitor the success and well-being of children in kinship arrangements.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational requirements.

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic social worker who is passionate about supporting children and families. You will be able to manage complex cases with confidence and work independently while knowing when to seek team support.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BA (Hons) in Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in kinship care, fostering, child protection, or a related area.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills for assessing and planning care.
