Job Title: Machine Shop Team Leader
Location: Cheltenham
Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £33,000 to £37,000 per year
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM, with an early finish at 12:30 PM on Fridays

Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of skilled machinists within the machine shop
- Delivering projects on time and within budget
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing production schedules and resource allocation
- Monitoring and improving the team's performance
- Collaborating with other departments to optimise operations
- Providing technical guidance and support to team members
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions
- Conducting regular team meetings and performance reviews
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Solid knowledge of setting and operating 3, 4, 5 axis machines
- Experience with CNC milling and turning machines
- Proficiency with Fanuc and Haidenhain controls
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Experience with CNC Bridgeport and CNC Haas machines
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and regulations
