My client, a financial services orgnaisation, are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced

Governance Analyst

to join their team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that change projects and client services are delivered with the highest standards of governance, quality assurance, and control. Reporting to the Senior Change Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Change Team and Risk & Compliance to ensure adherence to procedural and financial controls, maintaining commitment to excellence.

In this role, you will work across all levels of the organisation to embed governance into every aspect of operations, ensuring that ‘Change' and ‘Service' functions are consistently aligned with strategic goals. Y

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of a governance framework that supports flexible delivery methods.
  • Ensure governance controls are seamlessly integrated into Release and Service processes.
  • Oversee the financial project reporting process, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Manage key forums and client reporting to support Change & Release activities.
  • Provide line management to the Work Reception and Governance team, including training and development.
  • Deliver quality assurance reporting to senior management, highlighting any variances.
  • Maintain consistency in governance, financial, and quality assurance across all projects and programs.
  • Support the Release Team with delivery health checks and pre-go-live reviews.
  • Manage the Change & Release NDA process, ensuring up-to-date compliance.
  • Organise and document Quality Assurance/Governance meetings, maintaining thorough records.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage audit reviews, both internal and external.
  • Continuously improve project methodologies and standards, working closely with the wider team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end project lifecycle, including inception, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as APMP, Prince II, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a change management environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office at an intermediate level.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences.
  • Strong presentation and meeting facilitation abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in banking and financial services is advantageous.
  • A basic project management qualification or equivalent experience.
