The starting salary for this role is £18,743 per annum (pro rata to £26,777 FTE), based on a 25.2-hour working week.

These roles are 18-month secondment/ fixed term contract opportunities with the potential to go permanent in the future.

About the role

Working with us as a Business Support Administration Assistant, you will undertake administration duties to provide high level support to a specialised front line Adult Social Care Locality team who look after Reigate and Banstead vulnerable residents.

You will have experience in a high-volume and diverse call taking environment which will include resilience to be able to support sometimes challenging calls. You will have experience of working with a complex email inbox and have ability to be confident in accurately recording information from both environments, telephone and email on to our Social care data base case system in a timely accurate manner.

You will also have experience in minute taking, together with a proactive approach to deliver accurate notes (minutes) within a two day turn around whilst managing your daily duties. Furthermore, you will be required to demonstrate your use of Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Word.

Excellent customer service and active listening skills alongside time management skills is the key to actively move forward in this environment. You will have a flexible, mature approach to your duties, be well organised and able to work under pressure.

The role will see you taking front line calls from Surrey residents and supporting a high volume Duty inbox with complex emails. There are also team projects which are happening which you will be part of, and generous learning and guidance as you move through your time with us.

  • Experience in a high volume call taking or customer facing environment is essential.
  • Has a solid background in administration, including excellent notetaking (minute taking) skills is essential.
  • Able to show excellent customer service and listening skills is essential.
  • Be confident, organized, and be able to implement a proactive approach to your work is essential.
  • Can show attention to detail, time management and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy under pressure is essential.
  • Experience of using Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word is essential.
