Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a HR Assistant for this outstanding legal 500 firm for one of their offices in the Tunbridge Wells area. This a full-time, permanent role and is available on a hybrid basis where after an initial 6 months the successful applicant can work from home 2 days per week. The benefits include 27 days leave plus 1 discretionary day at Christmas and Bank Holidays.

Role Responsibilities

Working within the HR Team you will be part of a team where the ambience is outstanding and there is a general fun atmosphere evident. Staff retention is high, and the Partners and solicitors alike have excellent relationships with the HR team.

The day-to-day job duties within this HR Assistant role include:

  • Administrative Support: Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR team, including managing schedules, organising meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Recruitment Assistance: Assisting in the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and preparing offer letters.
  • Onboarding: Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation, undertaking pre-employment checks and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Employee Relations: Help manage employee queries, assist in the preparation of HR documents, and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • HR Projects: Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, including intranet updates, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update the HR database and employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Compliance: Assist in ensuring HR policies and procedures are followed and support compliance requirements.

Person Specification

To be successful in your application for this HR Assistant job it is imperative that you have gained HR experience within professional services, whether that be in accountancy, Legal or Insurance for example. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
