Key Responsibilities as a Care Assistant:
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Supporting clients with mobility and transportation needs, both within their homes and in the community
- Building meaningful relationships with clients and their families, offering emotional support and companionship
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns or changes in client's condition to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements of a Care Assistant:
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
