Finance Administrator

Are you seeking a new, and unique opportunity in a lovely small, busy office. I am looking for a Finance Assistant and Administrator to join a strong, well established and dedicated Finance Team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the business, ensuring the accurate handling of income and expenditure, and contributing to the wider improvement of key business strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong time management skills, and experience in bookkeeping and reconciliation, however candidates from other HR and administrative backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as full support and training will be given.

This role does require tenacity and resilience as the priorities and workload can shift in a moment so the team need another supportive team mate to respond and help share the load.

There is scope to learn and develop through AAT L2/L3 or via an industry specific qualification.

Please note that this role is office based only with no option for hybrid working**.**

Day to day of the role:

  • Provide support to the existing Finance Department.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of Statements on the Management system.
  • Maintain and reconcile Excel cashbooks and Sage bookkeeping.
  • Cross-reference Sage with the Management system.
  • Maintain Aged Debt and track progress of payments from providers.
  • Quality assurance as well as data cleansing that will require working to tight, recurring deadlines.
  • Accurately update and maintain information on back-office systems, including policy related activities.
  • Communicate with different teams to ensure efficient workflow.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and experience with Sage and reconciliation processes.
  • Understanding of business cash flow.
  • Keen eye for detail and strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage workloads.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Hard-working and enthusiastic approach to tasks.
