Accountable Recruitment are working with a specialist owner managed SME based in Wigan as they look for an Accounts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. As Accounts Manager you will take full responsibility for the company's accounts including all elements of invoicing, banking and monthly accounts production.
Up to £30,000pa - Hybrid working - Flexible hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations
- Sales Ledger
- Recording, Balancing and chasing payments of retentions
- Purchase Ledger
- Making payments
- Maintaining healthy bank balances
- Intercompany Transactions
- Supporting Directors and future strategies
- Sage 50
- Backups and keeping Data Files checked (Fixing errors as required)
- Vat returns
- Cashflow forecasting
- Accounts to trial balance
- Preparations for year end and Balance sheet (Yearend procedures and Audit adjustments)
- Wages - Weekly and Monthly (Directors Dividends)
- HMRC - balancing and payments
- CIS
- Debt collection and customer queries
- Overseeing One member of staff
- Responsible for all company invoicing
- Negotiating Final Accounts with QS
- Journals
Required Skills / Experience
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- Previous accounts experience within an SME or owner managed business
- Sage or Xero experience (not essential)
- Highly organised
- Self-starter with ability to self-manage
