Job Specification: Vehicle Yard Operative
Location: Neptune Business Park, Stafford
Pay Rate: £15.07 per hour (PAYE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Type: Ongoing Contract - Immediate start
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Vehicle Yard Operative to join our team in Neptune Business Park, Stafford. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our vehicle yard. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, capable of working in all weather conditions, and possess a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offloading Vehicles: Safely and efficiently offload vehicles of various kits and equipment.
- Vehicle Management: Move vehicles within the vehicle park to designated areas, ensuring proper organisation and safety.
- Palletising Stores: Prepare and palletise stores for return, ensuring items are securely packed and documented.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain the daily cleanliness of the site, including sweeping, trash removal, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Outdoor Work: Perform all duties outdoors, regardless of weather conditions, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects.
- Outdoor Work: Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate pelleting and organisation of stores.
- Team Player: Strong ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of work.
- Driver Licence: Must have a Full UK Drivers Licence as you will be moving vans around
