Maintenance Engineer

Location: Huddersfield Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days)

About Us: Join My clients dynamic team in the thriving Food manufacturing sector! Our client is currently looking for a skilled Electrical Bias Engineer to joing their team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems to ensure their optimal functioning.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns promptly, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent failures.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Install new equipment and machinery as needed, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment histories.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer or similar role, with expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a Manufacturing and Production environment
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a systematic approach to troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and other relevant technologies is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
