A well-established, medium-sized consultancy with over 50 years of experience is seeking a dynamic Health & Safety Advisor to support their Midlands clients.

This is a full-time, remote-based position, with the flexibility to manage your own diary and travel to sites within a 50-mile radius from your home. The role sits within a collaborative team covering Manchester and the Midlands, offering a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The Health & Safety Advisor Role

As the Health & Safety Advisor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site inspections on construction projects and producing detailed reports.
  • Collaborating closely with the Regional Director to identify and address the health and safety training needs of employees.
  • Developing and implementing safety policies to ensure compliance across all sites.
  • Training staff on best practices in health and safety.
  • Performing regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
  • Recording and investigating workplace accidents.
  • Staying current with health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Logging into the online portal to complete risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.

The Health & Safety Advisor

The successful Health & Safety Advisor will:

  • Have proven experience working within a construction consultancy.
  • Hold the NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential).
  • Possess a strong understanding of health and safety within the construction industry.
  • Be an engaging communicator, IT literate, and comfortable liaising with all levels.
  • Be self-disciplined and capable of managing their own schedule.
  • Hold a valid driving license.
