+bonuses + equity in the business

Our client is preparing for the future, and they are actively working on their succession plan. To that end, we are delighted to be recruiting for a senior Chartered Financial Advisor who has the potential to become the business' next owner/Director once the current owner retires. There is a 5 year plan in place, part of which is focused on hiring a successor to the director now. They have built and developed this business over the last 15 years to a point where it now manages £300m of AUM and continues to grow year on year. This role will require you to continue your work as a Chartered Financial Planner, managing a bank exiting clients of the business, whilst working closely with the Director as they train you up on the full suite of skills required to run a vibrant and successful wealth management operation.

We have worked with this firm for well over a decade helping them recruit staff and Advisers, as they have expanded and grown their team. They offer an excellent working environment which has seen an exceptionally low level of staff turnover (which reflects their reputation as a conscientious and decent employer), and their support in terms of training and nurturing of staff needs and work/life balance sees the majority of new recruits flourishing within the first year. The business itself continues to grow consistently year on year, via pure organic growth, based on recommendations, referrals and excellent working relationships with legal firms across the UK. They are a well-run outfit and have the resources and capability to support, train, and develop their staff further, but have acknowledged that their current staff are quite a way off from being company directors themselves and are looking to bring in an experienced Chartered Advisor who will have a smaller leap into Owner/Manager role within the next 5 years.

About You

  • You will be a fully qualified Independent Financial Advisor with Chartered status, or close to gaining this, and who has ambitions to one day step away from an advice role and take on a business management role.
  • Previous experience of whole of market financial service offerings
  • You will share the current director's philosophy on holistic financial advice
  • You will be able to act as a mentor, leader and inspiration to those pursuing a long term career in wealth management

Our client fully understands that most Financial Advisers that join them from existing businesses and will probably have a year's restrictive covenant in place. With that in mind, they have put together a portfolio of clients for you to manage on joining the business and an equal share in access to new clients that the business engages.
