We're looking for an In-House Lawyer on a 12-month maternity cover handling matters such as commercial contracts, data protection, and employment law. Description

The In-House Lawyer will:

  • Identify and manage legal risks early, ensuring legally sound decisions across the organisation.
  • Guide compliance by advising on internal policies and providing solutions-focused support.
  • Conduct complex casework with oversight from senior legal team members.
  • Engage cross-functionally to support objectives, training, and project participation.
  • Make key triage decisions in operational assessments after specialised training.

Profile

The In-House Lawyer should have:

  • A proven track record within a similar role as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in managing caseloads and delivering precise, legally grounded advice.
  • Expertise in at least one area: data protection, commercial contracts, or employment law, ideally within the public sector.
  • Clear, concise written communication tailored to varied audiences.
