RE Teacher
Location: Harrow, North West London
We are currently partnered with a Secondary School based in Harrow, North West London who are actively seeking an RE Teacher to join them on a permanent basis, however they will consider long term temporary, or temporary to permanent.
The school have embarked on a pursuit of excellence and are committed to the lives of young people within their community around Harrow. They have achieved a "Good" rating from Ofsted and are keen to build on this in the coming years.
This role would ideally suit a RE Teacher based in London and within a commutable distance to the Harrow area, who is actively seeking a new challenge!
The successful candidate will:
- Help students understand and explore various ethical issues, belief systems, and questions surrounding morality.
- Alongside teaching about religion, you will foster empathy, critical thinking, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Be able to guide students in reflecting on their own beliefs and values, while also encouraging an appreciation for other cultures, and spiritual diversity.
This role will require:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience as an RE Teacher, teaching to secondary school students in the UK
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
