We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for a busy global sourcing company in
Stratford-Upon-Avon. The ideal candidate should be either a part qualified ACCA accountant
or qualified by at least 5 years experience in an accounting role.
The role involves, but not limited to, maintaining the purchase ledger, sales ledger, and
general ledger, preparation of financial reports, assisting with month end duties and working
with the team to complete all accounting duties in a timely manner.

Duties will include
- Banking and payments to customer and suppliers
- Bank reconciliations
- Purchase ledger matching, posting
- Sales ledger matching, posting
- Carrying out month end tasks and completion of monthly reporting
- VAT returns
- Processing expenses
- Maintaining spreadsheets on Excel
- Assisting with year-end preparation
- General administration, fielding queries and support as required
- Managing company credit card expenses
- Credit control and chasing of outstanding customer service
Ideal requirements
- Part qualified accountant or a minimum experience of 5 years in a finance department
- Technical accounting expertise in particular balance sheet and profit and loss accounting
- A good understanding of Excel, in particular how it can be used to support financial reporting. Any SAP accounting experience would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills and an eye for accuracy and detail
- Confident and a professional telephone manner to deal with customer/suppliers and other business partners
- Excellent written communication skills
