Job Role: Logistics Coordinator (Food Manufacturing)
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Rochester
Hours: Monday-Friday 09:30am -17:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organising daily despatches of pallets/cartons and weekly full load deliveries
- Booking in deliveries with 3rd party warehouses in preparation for despatches
- Booking deliveries on haulier portals
- Arrange shipping paperwork for export markets
- Communicating and working directly with the warehouse team
- Providing a timely and proactive response to customer and supplier delivery queries
- Receiving and despatching stock on ERP software
- Checking and applying labels and delivery notes where necessary on a daily basis
- Assisting your line manager with regular client updates
- Any other reasonable duties associated with the role
Skills and experience required:
- Experience within a similar role ideally within a food/drinks/pharma manufacturing environment
- Speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent record keeping abilities
- Proactive nature with the ability to think and plan ahead
- Ability to deal effectively with suppliers and customers as well as colleagues daily
- Good computer skills and knowledge of applications in particular Microsoft Excel
- A professional & friendly telephone manner
