Mechanical Technician - Double Days (6am-2pm, 1pm-9pm)
Location: Queenslie, Glasgow
My client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to join the team at their industrial site in Queenslie. The mechanical technician will be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as a range of continuous improvement and reliability projects. This is an opportunity not to be missed by any aspiring mechanical Technician.
Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:
- Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship or similar
- Maintenance experience in a heavy engineering environment
- Able to fault find and repair on various pieces of mechanical equipment
- The ability to understand general arrangement and detailed drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Welding skills would be advantageous
- Electrical skills would be advantageous
- Computer Literate
- Good communication skills
- Experience of continuous processing equipment
- A good understanding of operations and maintenance, steam and hydraulic systems
