Position Overview: As a Primary Teacher covering maternity leave, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to primary school pupils. You will maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring continuity in learning and fostering the growth and development of each student.
Key Duties:
- Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
- Evaluate and monitor students' progress, offering regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate educational activities.
- Effectively manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student growth.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the broader school community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
