Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London) based on experience

We are currently seeking a committed and passionate Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a supportive and thriving primary school in Barking & Dagenham, London, beginning in September 2024.

Position Overview: As a Primary Teacher covering maternity leave, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to primary school pupils. You will maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring continuity in learning and fostering the growth and development of each student.

Key Duties:

  • Design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
  • Evaluate and monitor students' progress, offering regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Establish a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate educational activities.
  • Effectively manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the broader school community.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
