HR Advisor

Join a vibrant and fast-paced business as an experienced HR Advisor. This bustling HR department needs a proactive individual who can handle a diverse range of tasks with efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Manage employee relations cases, supporting HR team and managers with disciplinary and grievance meetings to ensure legal compliance and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure accurate minutes of meetings are produced.
  • Provide advice and support to line managers on employee/employment issues and queries.
  • Stay updated with current legislation.

Time and Attendance:

  • Investigate AWOL cases.
  • Manage short and long-term sickness cases.
  • Conduct welfare meetings.
  • Handle income protection referrals.

Recruitment:

  • Support with creating and publishing job adverts, managing the selection process, and screening candidates.
  • Prepare offer of employment/appointment letters.
  • Create job descriptions and specifications.
  • Oversee new starters' induction and onboarding processes.

Company Information:

  • Create and update company documents as required.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the Company's Employee Handbook.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Advise managers on company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence.
  • Conduct Right To Work in the UK checks and audits.
  • Support the HR Manager with due-diligence processes and auditing external labour providers.
  • Assist the HR Manager in ethical audits.

About the ideal candidate:

  • Experience: Proven experience in an HR Generalist role, particularly in a busy office with a high volume of administrative tasks.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to changing plans throughout the day, energetic and dynamic work approach.
  • Hands-On: Willing to take on various HR tasks and projects.
  • Team Player: Able to work in a small team, providing support and cover as needed.
  • Communication: Comfortable in a customer-facing role, interacting with a range of stakeholders.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 3 or similar qualification (desired but not essential).

Salary Range & Benefits:
The salary for this HR Advisor role is negotiable depending on experience. In addition, the company offers an attractive benefits package.
