As a Data Analyst at Goldstar, you will be responsible forcreating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and systems to provide valuable and actionable insights into the business.You will also play a key role supporting the Business Analyst and IT team with the development, implementation, and maintenanceof our TMS system and API/EDI interfaces, to ensure seamless data integration.

Monday to Friday (42.5 hours/week)

Salary £28,000 - £32,000per annum

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise dashboards and reports using Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, and Cognos to provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards by performing regular data validation and quality checks.
  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst to understand reporting requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications for reports and data models.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support for various business units as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our Transport Management Systems, ensuring that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Support, maintain and assist in the development of API/EDI system interfaces to ensure smooth and efficient connectivity and data flow.
  • Work with IT and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in our systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within the data reporting process and implement solutions to reduce manual workload.
  • Document processes, data flows, and reporting methodologies to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to use dashboards and reports effectively.
  • Assist in continuously reviewing operational processes for efficiency.

What are we looking for from you to join us:

  • Experience using data analytics and business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide meaningful insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
  • Creative problem solver who can identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • An understanding of the transport and logistics industry is desirable.
  • Understanding of API/EDIconnectivityis beneficial but not essential.
