SEN Teaching Assistant

Long- Term teachers are seeking to appoint an experienced SENteaching assistant, who is confident to support a fast paced school that supports from early years to Key stage 4. You must be mouldable to confidently support all ages, who have a special educational need, this includes learning, physical and social, emotional, mental health needs. You must be adaptable, caring and patient along with a hard working work ethic, you will be working alongside other TA's, however you must be able to use initiative to carry out tasks independently.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group mentoring sessions to students
- Develop and implement physical education activities to promote fitness and well- being
- Support preschool-aged children in their early learning and development
- Provide tutoring in various subjects, including applied behaviour analysis technique
- Offer guidance and care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Educate students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to meet individual requirements
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals
- Collaborate with teachers to create personalized learning plans for students
- Utilize your knowledge of early childhood education principles to enhance the learning experience
- Some personal care may be involved
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK curriculum
- At least 1 year experience working with children with SEN
- Familiarity with applied behaviour analysis techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Passion for educating and mentoring individuals of all ages
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning
