A leading Client-Side property company with multi £b in assets.
We are seeking a dedicated Services Engineer to join an Estates Department team in a leading property company. This role involves delivering essential hard services, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems, as part of an in-house team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in hard services disciplines, particularly with an electrical bias, within our in-house services team.
- Collaborate with Asset Managers, Property Managers, Surveyors, and Solicitors to deliver a variety of works, including defect diagnosis, fault repair, inspections, reports, and project oversight.
- Conduct feasibility reporting in various formats to inform decision-making on project scopes.
- Manage Pre and Post Design and Contract Administration tasks.
- Liaise with competent contractors and suppliers, ensuring full engagement with CDM Regulations and acting as Principal Designer for routine or repeat works.
- Support Project Surveyors on larger schemes involving services.
- Organize and list workloads, providing regular business reports to the Head of Department.
Person Specification
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be clearly understood.
- Excellent time management and attendance record.
- Understanding of service disciplines, with confidence in managing electrical and broader services work.
- Proficient in Health, Safety & Compliance management and delivery.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analysis skills.
- Experience in developing project briefs and scopes of work from feasibility to completion.
- Proficient with MS Office and other computer resources.
- Possess a full, clean driving license.
Experience Level
- Extensive knowledge in procuring mechanical and electrical installations across various property types.
- Awareness of innovative products such as solar lighting, digital metering, and solar farming.
- General understanding of DNO systems and service metering applications.
- Ability to undertake or manage mechanical projects and contractors.
Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience.
- NEBOSH / IOSH preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
- CDM awareness desired (training can be provided).
- Willingness to undertake further training as necessary for job development.
