We have an opportunity for a Commercial Business Partner to join us on a fixed term basis until March 2025. You will be supporting our property services teams at SNG. Based in either our head office in Basingstoke or Newbury you'll combine a mix of home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.
The Role
Acting as the commercial representative within the Locality, you'll play a key role in formulating strategies and objectives to improve and refine the operational and financial performance of varied workstreams within the locality. You'll be joining a highly skilled team and be at the forefront of driving cost efficiencies.
This role will include:
- The preparation of detailed variance analysis at month-end to ensure any movements versus both budget and forecast are fully understood across the localities and ensure appropriate action is taken to address any concerns.
- Providing Property team with accurate commercial analysis and insight to enable them to effectively measure performance of both the internal workforce and external contractors and make informed decisions.
- Working with locality managers to identify improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
- Supporting the Commercial Business Lead at Monthly Commercial Review meetings with all key stakeholders. This will involve presenting performance information including full year forecast along with associated risks and opportunities.
What we need from you:
- Experience with the commercial management of property related contracts
- Experience of the Social Housing Sector
- Good understanding and management of risk, financial planning, modelling (strong excel skills are essential).
- Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks to SNG.
- Ability to analyse business information and formulate metrics that drive improvements.
- Strategic thinking, commercial acumen and values driven behaviours to fulfil our ambitious corporate plan and customer and home and place strategies at a Locality level.
- Possess strong people skills and an effective communicator, able to influence and challenge.
- Ability to communicate responsibilities to data users and assure the proper use of data.
