Robertson Bell are excited to partner with this fantastic public sector organisation as they go to market for a Senior Payroll Officer on a permanent basis. Do not miss out on this fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative team and assist in a large payroll of over 2500 employees.

In this Senior Payroll Officer role, you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day payroll administration, including inputting promotions, new starters, and processing leavers' payments.
  • Manage additional payments, such as rewards, and handle the calculations for tax, National Insurance, and pensions.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries and manage maternity pay, sick pay, unpaid leave, or leave of absence.
  • Conduct regular payroll runs, including a monthly cycle for two separate payrolls (one for 2000 employees and another for 250-300 employees in a subsidiary).
  • Administer four different pension schemes, ensuring compliance with both manual and auto-enrolment requirements, and participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

Based in North-West London, this role is being offered on a hybrid basis, requiring you to go into the office just one day a week, making it the perfect opportunity for an individual looking for a great work-life balance. The successful candidate will be:

  • A competent Payroll Officer with at least three years' experience working in a payroll role and a background processing payroll from start to finish.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise workloads and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • CIPP qualified or can demonstrate a thorough understanding of payroll from their extensive experience in the field.
  • Coming from, or be eager to join a public sector organisation.
