Accounts Assistant - 30 hours a week - Andover
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily communications into the Finance department, including managing the Finance mailbox and handling telephone queries.
- Perform data entry tasks, such as logging transactions, reviewing journal entries, and reconciling bank statements.
- Ensure payments and records are accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with spreadsheets, sales, and purchase ledgers.
- Process purchase ledger invoices and credit notes.
- Investigate and reconcile sales and purchase ledger discrepancies.
- Manage credit control by raising customer invoices, distributing statements, and following up on debtors.
- Liaise with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers.
- Assist with processing expense requests for Finance Manager approval.
- Record and file cash transactions.
- Handle company credit card transactions.
- Perform administrative duties, including updating procedural documentation.
- Support payroll preparation when required.
Requirements:
