I have an immediate requirement for an Interim Financial Controller to join a medium sized business to support and drive year end activities in a business undergoing significant change.

The successful applicant will supervise and drive accurate accounting and monthly management reporting for the UK entities to ensure accurate, meaningful and timely information is provided to the business.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

Statutory and compliance

  • Set up of electronic audit files for the UK entities.
  • Review of annual audit files
  • Work with the Group Audit Manager to ensure the UK entity financial statements are audited in a timely manner.
  • Prepare the annual financial statements under FRS102.
  • Provide the Group tax team information required for the completion of the annual taxes.
  • Work with Treasury to ensure that all inter-company loans and cash movements are correctly recorded in the UK entities.
  • Going concern and impairment reviews.

Monthly management accounting and reporting

  • Deliver monthly management reporting for UK entities.
  • Drive the monthly completion of the management accounts.
  • Review the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Set up and review monthly income statements for all UK entities.
  • Work with the inter-company team to ensure all inter-company transactions have been recorded.
  • Work with the FP&A team in the preparation of the monthly analytical review.

Candidate requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Delivery of monthly financial close.
  • Production of group financial statements.
  • Experience of International and multi-currency.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivery in a heavy change environment.
